The car is a year model 1967, and I have owned it since 1972. The original color was a dark red but was changed to a dark (very dark) brown in 1970 and retained in a subsequent repaint. The interior color was originally tan leather but is now a dark maroon (oxblood?). I have done 99.9% of all work on the car over the years, including rebuilding the engine, overhauling the 5-speed transmission, rebuilding suspension, repainting, even disassembled and rebuilt the Boranni wheels. (Tough job!!).

I bought the car in 1962 from a guy in Seal Beach, CA. He had bought the car new from Bob Estes' dealership in Long Beach. It's funny, but Bob Estes used to attend the Monterey event until his health failed, and one year, he and I were talking on the balcony at the Mariposa Inn and I pointed out my car to him. He asked what chassis number it had and I told him - 1033. He pondered for a minute that said "That's not the original color." I was dumbfounded. He remembered that the car was originally dark red!
