Date of entry to the USA was Aug 9, 1979. Cleared by the EPA on March 31, 1980. US compliance work was done by Amerispec. The front side reflectors were just extensions on the small units and did not require cutting the fender, and the rear sider reflectors were set in the flare, again no body cutting required. No auxiliary bumpers were added either. The car remained under one ownership in a Michigan car collection until 1999.

1999-2000 owned by William (Bill) Sewall of Freetown, Indiana, USA.

2000 - Sold to collector in Alberta, Canada with only had 1018 miles on it and had not been driven since. It is still completely original, right down to the P7's. Overall, 1121086 remains in wonderful condition, safe in the hands of a preservationist.
