1988 Countach LP5000QV
Chassis #JLA12242
Engine #
JLA12242 is a 1998 Countach now owned by Lamborghini and Ferrari enthusiast Bruce Bishop in Florida. Car is white with light tan interior. Bought from her original after only 7,000 miles on the road, Mr. Bishop had Motorcars International of Springfield, Mo. go through the car both mechanically and cosmetically to bring her to concours condition. Needing "relatively" little, due to previous owners meticulous care, the car's rear was converted back to the "Euro" bumpers and lights. Any mechanical work was done and brought up to original Lamborghini specifications.
Time of delivery to the new owner became a problem when "restoration" was taking longer than expected and an upcoming Concours Event in which the Countach was registered was approaching. Motorcars International came through, however and had the car delivered to its new owner the night before the show in Orlando ! The next day, she won the Platinum Award for "Best Exotic Car". This was only the second time the new owner had even SEEN his new Countach!
Now at home with its new owner, she sits in an climate controlled environment with another Lamborghini, 2 Ferrari's, 73' XKE Jag. Roadster, and a 71' 455 H.O. T /A .
Driven only occasionally, this 1988 Countach is the favorite of its owner. It was his Dream Car as a teenager and always considered it the "Ultimate Exotic" and the most beautiful piece of automotive art. He had, like so many others, a Lamborghini poster hanging on his wall while dreaming of the day he could own one.
Today, he can just opens a door to a see, hear and feel the REAL thing!
At her first show, the current owner was approached repeatedly with offers to purchase his rare Countach. However, THIS Countach is irreplaceable to its owner and will not sale at any price.
