1983 Countach LP5000S
Chassis #DLA12662
Engine #
This 1983 Countach was owned by Hans & Brigitte from the Swiss Lamborghini Club.
Sept 2005 - Purchased by Eric D. of Switzerland.
Nov 2005 - Feb 2007 - The car has been completely restored by MD Garage in Switzerland. Marcel and Gabi Donati did a fantastic job. The engine has been completely rebuilt, with an improved crankshaft lubrication system, and all surounding accessories such as pumps, alternator, valves, etc..., have been changed, cleaned, repaired or improved. The gearbox has also been rebuilt, and, obviously, the clutch has been changed too. An MD Ignition box has been installed and the car is now running unbelievably well and smooth. Besides the engine itself, the brakes have been upgraded, all the pipes changed, new radiators installed, an insulation sheet between the cockpit and the engine compartment has been put in place, 6 new Diablo struts have been mounted, a gas fire fighting system in the engine compartment has been installed, some wheel bearings have been changed, 4 new Pirelli Pzero tyres have been mounted, and finally the whole car has been reset/tuned/balanced.
The cockpit upholstery is now being completely redone in France with new leather, except the seats which will keep some beautiful signs of age. The new upholstery, material, and color is redone as per original as far as possible. What's left of the original signature of Ferruccio Lamborghini on the backshelf behind the driver's seat will be protected and preseved. The end of the work is planned for June 2007.
