Espada #7873 left the factory in June of 1970 and went to a dealer in Ravenna, Italy.
#7873 was purchased by Jim Fox in 1981 and it underwent a ground-up restoration from September '92 to August '93.
#7873 wearing CA registration FST4CTR, was featured in the 1988 Road & Track Special magazine on Lamborghini (pages 90-96) and was also pictured in the March 1996 issue of European Car.
These first two phtos of #7873 show the car in it's glory days on the ramp at the Pebble Beach Concours in August '93 and at the Santa Barbara Councours in September '93. Espada #7873 was the only Espada to ever show at Pebble Beach.
The bottom four photos were taken on March 13th, 2000 right after an accident which saw a semi rear-end the car pushing it into a pickup which left the scene.
#7873 was still in show condition and running beautifully when the accident occured returning from a club meet in Las Vegas. It looks driveable enough but was considered a write-off, stripped for parts and no longer exists today. #7873 was California, USA registered US LAMBO.
