This car was imported to Switzerland in November 1971 and delivered new to the important Ferrari Collector Engelbert Steiger of Saint-Gall, Switzerland, brief owner of the famous 1962 Ferrari 250GTO #3589 ("GTO Found in Field") in August 1988 (see Cavallino #60)...
Later the car was owned by Lamborghini Collector Mr Siegfried Flitsch (well known Lamborghini owner in Switzerland - he possessed more than 12!).
In 1976 with 50,000 km, many modifications and Improvements had been done by the Factory:
- servo power steering from the S3
- replaced camshafts
- replaced crankshaft
- replaced valves and and carburettors
- revision of the gearbox
- better cooling system
- better air condition
- replaced water, oil and fuel pump
- great service
- changed dashboard from S2to S3
- replaced carpets
The car was kept in perfect shape by Mr. Flisch and was known as one of the best Espadas.
The last owner bought the car in the early ninetees and used for journeys to the south of France. The car has 100,210km as of March 2001 and was allways maintained in good condition.
The car was in Switzerland until it was sold in March 2001 by Brooks in Geneva, Switzerland. Price was low: CHF 20,000+commission+VAT and taxes.
Today still in Geneve SWITZERLAND.
