1974 Espada S3
Chassis #9384
Original Engine #41191
Current Engine #41204
October 1973

October 1973 - production date. Original exterior color was Luci di Bosco (a kind of brown metallic) with Senape (a kind of light yellow) interior.

April 1974 - delivered to London, England.

1974 - Imported into Australia in factory RHD configuration. It was Silver in color. There are no details of the car in it's early years.

1978 - Purchased at auction with front-end damage. The damage was repaired and the car was drivable. After being repaired, the carburators caught fire causing engine bay damage, wiring damage and melting of some of the carburator components. It was palced into storage in a shed and covered. A large number of spare parts were imported from the factory in 1984 to rebuild the engine but this was not done.

1988 - The car was sold (along with the spares) to an Engineer, who rewired the engine bay, repaired the Webers and rebuilt the gearbox. It was registered and driven.

1991 - The car was sold to a car enthusiast who commenced its restoration. The motor was removed and a bare metal respray was done to its current color red. When the motor was replaced, it was found there was a slow leak of water into the oil. This was caused by a non-repairable crack in the block. It was then decided to undertake a total engine rebuild. A second hand block #41204 was imported from England. The majority of spares purchased in 1984 were able to be used. The rebuild included new liners in the second hand block, new pistons and rings, valves and valve guides, a new flywheel and new distributor, rebuilt heads, water pump and oil pump. Also done was a loctite treatment of the sump, block, heads and oil pump body to seal the slightly porous metal against oil leaks.

2002 - Purchased by its current owner with 53,000 miles showing on the speedometer. Registered GTE 300 in New South Wales, Australia.
