#6249 had been in Portugal for nearly 30 years with the original owner until about 1989 following which it was imported to England by a dealer and sold to a Greek who promptly died. After being in storage in England for some time, 6249 was bought around 1987 by the the third owner. It was offered at Coys' auction 2nd March 1998 with an estimate of £ 15,000 - 20,000. It has since been purchased by Gerald Wellesley in April 1999 in good condition and is being enjoyed in England. It current mileage from new is 39,000km. It is believe that the car was originally gold in colour before being resprayed in its current metallic mid-red colour.
