1968 LAMBORGHINI Islero
Chassis #6000
Engine #1663

Completed March 6, 1968 and sold through Karl Foitek. This is how the first Islero appeared at the 1968 Geneva Motor Show and in the factory literature.

This car originally had Boranni wire wheels pictured above, that apparently did not stay with the car. The second owner reports that when the car was sold after the Geneva, Switzerland show, the car had acquired the Miura style wheels that would become standard equipment. The car also acquired this three spoke steering wheel and some modifications to the centre console. This Islero is still in Switzerland with its second owner. It is in exceptional condition, with 63,000 real kilometers (as of 1999) from new. All mechanical components were fully rebuilt to the highest standards. Magneto optic ignition is fitted. Paint was resprayed about 8 years ago and is still looking very nice. Excellent original brown hide. The very careful second owner often drives his car in order to maintain it in perfect condition.

We would like to thank the owner for these awesome photos.
