1984 Jalpa
Chassis #ELA12168
Engine #
Originally finished in Acapulco Blue.
1985 - Imported to the USA with 437 km.
1986 - Next with 50,000 km to Nigel Fox in Michigan, USA who did not like the Acapulco Blue colors and had ELA12168 repainted in a GM red for ease of touch-ups and repairs. The engine was rebuilt in Canada by Prabin Christensen (a well known Italian race engine specialist) with all new main and rod bearings, new pistons and liners (very expensive), valves, guides, gaskets - parts totaled over $7000 and the labor was over $9000. The transmission was rebuilt with new sync rings and clutch. The sub frame and rear suspension was powder coated and new bushings installed. The exhaust was fabricated by a local shop and has an original sound.
Next found to be with Jack Houpe of Gravette, AR, USA in 1991.
Next to Texas.
2004 - Imported to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Notice the beautiful, chromed Diablo 2wd wheels fitted to this car by the current owner. The fronts have a small spacer inserted to give the correct track and the rears had to have 4" cut out of the width and were then tig-welded back together. They fit and look great.
