August 2006 - Established as the First Standard Production Miura, 1006 represents a mouthwatering proposition as a restoration project of what must surely be one of the most historically noteworthy P400s extant. After inspection by historian Joe Sackey, it is clear that this first-of-a-series P400 is complete with its original engine, chassis and body. The car has already been disassembled in preparation for restoration, and all its unique components appear to be present and accounted for. The center gauge binnacle displays its unique nine warning-lights setup, this a truly rare feature of only the first few P400s. Its perfectly preserved wood steering wheel has a history of its own to tell, and the original lemon-hued "Giallo Verde" is still clearly apparent in crevices and seams all over the body. The restoration of this car must surely represent one of the most important resurrections of a truly significant Miura in recent times.
December 2006 - Brokered by Joe Sackey & Gary Bobileff to a UK-based enthusiast. Car at Bobileff's for restoration.
