EX-FACTORY PROTOTYPE
1967 MIURA SV

Chassis #4758
Engine #1187
Prod. #38
19 July 1967
Prod. #710
23 Mar 1972

Yellow Green/Black. Prod. #38 & 710. Date19 July 1967.

Rebuilt to SV specs by the factory in 1972.

3054 was built new as the 38th P400, for an important client, Signor Imery in Venezuela, delivered new on July 19th, 1967.

Somewhere along the way 3054 was seriously damaged. By that time the SV was in production, and Imery wanted one. The laws in Venezuela had changed to prohibit the importation of this type of vehicle - whether it was exchange controls or what, it is not known. In late 1971 Imery arranged to send the vehicle back to the factory, ostensibly to be repaired; however, he arranged with the factory to remove the VIN plate from the S and attach it to an SV of the same color, and ship it to him as the same (repaired) vehicle he had sent them.

The colors of lime green/black were redone as originally, the chassis number remained 3054, engine number remained #1187, but production number accordingly changed to #710. It is not clear if the factory itself rebuilt the engine to sv split-sump spec. 3054 was competed and returned to Venezuela on March 23rd, 1972.

Owned in the 1980s by Gian Luigi Buitoni-Longinotti, who reportedly purchased it from the first owner Signor Imery in Venezuela. When about to become President of Ferrari North America Buitoni felt it would no longer be pollitically correct to own a Lamborghini and sold it to it's next owner

3054 is now the property of Ferrari collector Richard Liroff of Elizabeth, New Jersey, and unfortunately it has also been repainted in the infamous metallic purple (one of three in this non-original color).

Restored by Frank Triarsi's Motor Coach to 'Plum Crazy' (purple metallic) with grey leather. It is still in this configuration as of 2006.
