1971 MIURA SV
Chassis #4892
Engine #30640
Prod. #636
13 July 1971

Originally White/Blue to S.E.A.

Imported into Japan in 1977 by Tomita, this car bears published factory documentation (dated 5 Aug 1974) confirming it as a works SVJ. The car is pictured with Japanese number plates at a Club meet in 1978.

The car remains in Japan today (2004) still "Rosso Granada" paint with "Naturale" interior. Uniquely, this SVJ is fitted with 9-inch front wheels rather than the standard 7-inch items.

February 2005 - Per the car's first Japanese owner "This car was built at the Lamborghini factory in July 1971 as the FIRST SVJ. Ubaldo Sgarzi told me this at the time, and In August 1974 Sgarzi issued me a factory declaration confirming this, when I visited the factory to purchase a Countach LP400. You can clearly see that the declaration is signed by Ubaldo Sgarzi and his signature can be checked with many other factory letters he signed at the period".

June 2006 - Now with Larry Simon, USA.
