1971 MIURA SV
Chassis #4894
Engine #30654
Prod. #643
9 July 1971

An excerpt from 'Registro Spinto Veloce', a private Miura SV register held by Joe Sackey:

"Seen at Automobili Lamborghini SpA, autumn, 1995, annual factory visit. Metallic black paint, gold wheels (including 3-eared spinners) & sills. Paintwork appears fresh, factory repainted? My original factory production register from 1974 states: 'Oro met. (gold)/nero (black), 9.7.71, Mark 3 (Italian concessionaire)'. Interior shows black leather/vinyl combination with khaki-brown velour inserts, grey carpets, correct switchgear and trim, all original and in flawless condition. Radio/cassette, center-console ignition key, original shift knob, original (unrestored) steering wheel, all well-preserved. Italian registered, presumably in Milan, MI.91884A, black plates, front plate covers significant part of radiator inlet grille, obviously restricting all-important airflow. 'In Roddaggio' sticker still in passenger side top corner of windscreen, automatic radio aerial (not standard roof-mounted fixed unit) in driver side rear fender. Single mirror mounted on driver's door. Rear panel badges in silver paint (not gold as per wheels/sills), all-white front turnlight lenses (Italian-spec). Carello headlights and Altissimo tailights in perfect condition. Chrome brightwork original but well-preserved, a few scratches on windscreen surround. Pirelli P7 rear tires 'as new' (factory-supplied?), Pirelli CN12 front tires, used. Engine no.30654, twin distributor (no A/C) with fibreglass cap still in place, cam-covers in standard silver, airbox-tops refinished in plain white (minus original Fiamm silk-screened logos).

A gorgeous Miura SV, recommissioned (repaint and mechanicals), with a fabulous original interior".

This is the first SV recorded by Joe Sackey for his private register.

In the January 1996 issue of Sports Car Illustrated, 4894 was featured, as driven by Valentino Balboni and photographed by Winston Goodfellow.

May 2003 - Driven enthusiastically by owner to Rome 40th Anniversary event. Still with same Milan registration number first seen in 1995.
