Originally Miura Green/Black to Achilli Stel.
Dry sump Miura SV - Total restoration mid-80s by Claudio Zampolli at his Los
Angeles-based Claudio's Italia Sports cars Inc for Portland-based Ferrari
dealer Ron Tonkin. Repainted red and retrimmed in tan pigskin (wild boar)
leather. Factory-supplied dry sump unit installed by Zampolli with external
oil tank mounted in front bay in place of spare wheel (thin 'spacesaver'
wheel therefore employed instead of standard 7 1/2" inch wheel). 10-inch
rear wheels sand-cast in magnesium in exact pattern of standard SV 9" rear
wheels, fitted. Set up to run on the track and said to be a 'screamer,' but
alas, it lives as a permanent display in Tonkin's private museum in
Portland, Oregon, where it is seldom driven. Zampolli is best known as the
father of the V16 engined Cizeta supercar.
