ORIGINAL MIURA SV FINDS NEW HOME AS VALUES HIT ALL-TIME HIGH
A perfectly original Miura SV has found a new home this past month with a
major Louisiana based Ferrari collector of note. What makes this event
interesting is that the price paid equates to $365,000, one of 3
Miura SVs to sell around $300,000 recently. Miura SV 4968 is thought to be
one of just a handful of truly original SVs that remain in existence and its
new owner considers this benchmark deal to be good value. However, the car
is not stored away in a warehouse, but rather is driven as often as possible
(several times weekly) when the owner is not driving his 1962 Le Mans
winning Ferrari 330 TRI/LM on the street!
Miura SV values languished at just over $100,000 a mere 5 years ago.
However, it is worth noting that today 2 cars are for sale in Europe asking
what equates to $350,000 each. In Japan, a pair of late example SVs has
changed hands for $325,000 and $375,000 respectively. Finally, these special
Lamborghinis are getting the recognition and value that has overlooked them
for years.
