MIURA SVJ 4934 GOES TO ENGLAND!

Miura SVJ #4934 has been brokered to an English client according to a website posting by Simon Kidston who claims to have engineered the deal. The new owner's offer apparently beat out that of well-known Sourthern California Lamborghini enthusiast Joe Sackey and is claimed by Kidston to be "in the region of half-a-million dollars." The car showed approximately 4,800km at the time of the deal and is in original condition except for its now non-original BF Goodrich tires. This is the same car photographed as an SVJ in the well-known Coltrin/Marchet book sometime in the '70's, and is obviously a factory conversion of an SV into an SVJ, although during its California sojourn it lacked any paperwork proving both its foctory SVJ status of the late Shah's ownership. According to the news item on the Miura Registry, the car is to be returned to the factory for a mechanical checkover. Photos by Joe Sackey.
