The Original importer of the car was a Dr. Timothy Brandt on June 6, 1978. In March of 1979 the car was still not in compliance and Customs sent a letter to have the car re-exported. April 9th 1979 Dr Brandt received release approval from the EPA and DOT bond release came on June 13th 1979. Dr. Brandt apparently drove the car for some time before deciding to do the color change. The car was originally a Euro car, chocolate brown, with tan interior, A/C, and Radio delete. John Kage became the next owner when he went to look at another car of the Doctor's in March of 1996. While there he made a deal to purchase the Urraco for $10,500. It was mostly stripped to bare metal. The interior was still in it at the time. Six years later Mr Kage had stripped the interior from the car and primed the front end. He realized he had no time to finish the project and listed it on ebay in 2002.

Present owners Kim and Michelle of Chicago, IL, USA noticed the car listed as a parts car and went to look it over. After deciding it was worth the price (Michelle always loved these cars) they placed the bid. When delivered it was in bare metal except for the front end which was in primer. Today it is beautifully finished in Blue/Tan.
