1979 Lamborghini Uracco P300
Chassis #20508
Engine #

Here is a very interesting P300 spotted by Eric Thomassey. This Urraco has a fuel injected engine. This may be factory equipment but we do not know at present. Anyone with information on this and the chassis # of this car, should contact us.

The following text is a partial translation of Emilios Story from Lambo-infos Nr.7 issued by the Swiss Lamborghini Owners Club.

Urraco 20508 was produced in 1979, original colour violet metallic, and sold in 1982 by Garage Foitek in Zurich for the first time. Afterwards the car went to Lamborghini Dealer Karl Ruf arround Zurich, he drove it for some time privately. Later on the car was sold to OS Leasing Company who bought the car for a Leasing Contract. Unfortunately the Client crashed deadly on the way to catch the Car.

After that hit of destiny OS Lesing sold the car to the Lamborghini Dealer and ex-Formula1 Driver Loris Kessel in Lugano-Grancia. Loris sold the Car then to the pre-owner of Emilio who own the car now since 1987. At the time Emilio S. bought the car it had only 18'000 Km driven and was still in the awful original colour (violet metallic). After driving 400km Emilio brought the car to the painting Shop of Bruno Bammert in Waldibruecke where it received its present colour bright red. Since 1988 Emilio is Member of the Swiss Lamborghini Club and took part in the World Lamborghini Meeting taking place in Italy in September 1988 on the 25th Anniversary of Lamborghini Cars.

In 1989 a Motor revision was necessarily because the piston bolt (a very often and obvious Lamborghini Problem) had been to weak. On this occassion the whole motor was revised with new Pistons, connecting rods and cylinders with a total cost of 22'000 Swiss Francs. Emilio had several times problems with the V-belt for the Ignition Distributor and Water pump. In 1993 he decided to change from the weber carburettors to a fuel injection, causing minor problems with air humidity and temperature change. Also bringing a better torque, more power and the most important thing more liabiltity. Because on hot conditions the carburator have the bad behaviour to keep the full gas position. Nowadays Emilio passed over 50'000 km with his Urraco bringing him much joy and a lot of troubles and adventures.
