![]() ![]() OEM Lambo P300 piston and liner... with only 11,000 miles. Note "dry" looking bearing shell caused by oil starvation. ![]() Block with modified liners. Note O-ring inserts, desirable for compression reatios greater than 11:1. ![]() Cylinder head after epoxy vacuum sealing, showing larger solid stainless steel exhaust valves. The OEM Livia sodium "passivated" exhaust valves are a disaster "waiting to happen" and they are not "balanced" from a flow perspective with the intake side. The vacuum sealing prevents coolant leaks from the water passages, a real problem because of poor overall casting density in the OEM design. ![]() New JE Pistons. Note .0025" clearance, ideal for low blow-by. Also note liner "retainers. ![]() Plexiglass crankshaft alignment jig. ![]() New JE Pistons with modified, magnafluxed, straightened and "peened" rods, new rod bolts and nuts, a must for durability! Note Fiat X1/9 bearing shells for increased oiling reliability. ![]() Magnafluxed, straightened, and micropolished crank. Note Ferrari bearing shells which have better hydrodynamic oil loading characteristics. ![]() Template for redesigned windage tray. No, it's not a dry sump but it's miles better than the OEM "design solution." ![]() Ready for the Dyno Room! ![]() Motor and transaxle assembly ready for reinstallation. ![]() Completely installed with new fuel delivery system. |
